Deli and take-away sandwich bar. Deli-ish caters for all tastes - such as Panninis, oven baked jacket potatoes, healthy salad boxes and wraps.
When foods are warmed in the microwave, Deli-ish use loose hard lids, INSTEAD OF covering with shrink-wrap / plastic cling film. Deli-ish no longer use disposable latex type hygiene gloves and have gone back to washing, including antibacterial in bars. Cold sandwiched are in wrapped in white paper and are added to white poly bags - these larger bags are now also larger, heavier brown / craft type paper. Sanitisers and cleaning products are now bought in bulk and used to refill reusable spray bottles. Deli-ish are also looking at speaking to suppliers to exchange the large bottles for reuse too. They use refillable from bulk, food grade oils in spray bottles. Large, regular orders that would previously been sent in carrier type bags or card boxes, are now sent to regular clients in hard plastic mushroom trays that are returned.

When foods are warmed in the microwave, Deli-ish use loose hard lids, INSTEAD OF covering with shrink-wrap / plastic cling film. Deli-ish no longer use disposable latex type hygiene gloves and have gone back to washing, including antibacterial in bars. Cold sandwiched are in wrapped in white paper and are added to white poly bags - these larger bags are now also larger, heavier brown / craft type paper. Sanitisers and cleaning products are now bought in bulk and used to refill reusable spray bottles. Deli-ish are also looking at speaking to suppliers to exchange the large bottles for reuse too. They use refillable from bulk, food grade oils in spray bottles. Large, regular orders that would previously been sent in carrier type bags or card boxes, are now sent to regular clients in hard plastic mushroom trays that are returned.

Steph sells bamboo toothbrushes instead of plastic toothbrushes. Steph also sells net produce bags for people to use when buying their loose fruit/veg from the supermarket, and thus offers an alternative to using the single-use plastic bags. Steph also offers refills of washing up liquid/toilet cleaner/laundry liquid to encourage refill instead of selling plastic bottles. And Steph sells reusable face wipes, instead of single-use plastic-lined wipes. Steph can be found at the Chesterfield market on a Monday & Saturday and at Staveley on a Friday.

Cosy cafe serving lunch and salads as well as cakes and afternoon tea
Stephenson's only sell glass bottles INSTEAD OF plastic bottles. They use paper straws INSTEAD OF plastic straws, metal cutlery INSTEAD OF plastic cutlery, and ceramic milk jugs INSTEAD OF single-use plastic milk cartons. They don't use any stirrers, so no plastic stirrers! Their sugar is in a glass dispenser INSTEAD OF single-use plastic packets. And they don't provide any bags so no plastic bags!

Thyme to Eat cafe
A warm and friendly cafe situated in the heart of the historic Shambles serving a wide range of home cooked vegetarian food. Vegan and Gluten free diets also catered for.
Thyme to Eat have swapped all their single-use plastic bags for paper bags. They have also swapped plastic milk sachets for metal jugs of milk. The cafe have made a decision to no longer sell plastic bottles and instead now only sell drinks in glass bottles, which are recycled. Thyme to Eat have swapped plastic straws for paper straws, and also swapped plastic cutlery with plant starch cutlery.

The Urban Kitchen's storage containers are reusable INSTEAD OF using single-use plastic containers, and all of their cutlery is stainless steel INSTEAD OF single-use plastic cutlery. Plus, they don't provide stirrers THEREFORE no single-use plastic stirrers.

Waste Not Want Not have a dedicated zero-waste section of the shop where they sell products such as bamboo earbuds, bamboo toothbrushes, re-useable sandwich wraps, shampoo bars, metal straws, and plastic-free water soluble sachets of cleaning products. Waste Not Want Not have also recently started a bring-your-own-container refill scheme, selling products such as rice, lentils and pasta.

Willow Springs have switching from plastic carrier bags to fully recyclable brown paper bags throughout the store. They have also recently switched all plastic straws for paper ones, as well as switching plastic drinks stirrers for wooden ones. On top of this, they've also switched from plastic-wrapped coffee biscuits to non-plastic wrapped biscuits in their coffee shop.
